May 14, 2025 – Day 2 of IV International Youth Education Forum took place at the BSTU affiliated Negoreloe Forestry Experimental Station and started with a round table discussion focusing on ecological issues. The participants presented their project ideas many of which centered on innovative approaches to environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, regional tourism development, volunteering activities and many more. Students and young scientists eagerly contributed to the heated discussion, shared their experience and tried to come up with new ideas for joint projects.??????? ?
Later on the participants were invited to a tour of the NFES facilities organized by members of Forestry Faculty and Forest Engineering, Materials Science and Design Faculty. During the tour they had an opportunity to get acquainted with the results of up-to-date research in the field of silviculture and ecology. The tour embraced visits to the BSTU botanical garden, ecological trail, woodworking shop and forestry nursery where young trees and shrubs of various species are cultivated. During a field session the forumers could get familiar with experimental ways of UAV-based treatment and nutrition spraying of young plants. In the woodworking shop the participants were shown the resource-saving processes of timber sawing.
The experiences gained during the day will have a positive impact on the professional evolvement of young scientists and students and contribute to the conservation of our environment.? ??
