BSTU is a Cofounder of Federation of Engineering Institutions of BRICS

April 24-26, 2025, Shenzhen, China – The Engineering Congress of BRICS countries was held. The event was attended by Andrei Hauryliuk, BSTU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. At the sidelines of the Congress the Federation of Engineering Institutions of BRICS (FEIBRICS) was established.

The following organizational documents were adopted at the event:

Belarusian State Technological University joined the Federation as a co-founding institution.?

The 2025 BRICS Engineering Congress held in Shenzhen (Guangdong, China) served as a platform for a new paradigm of technology cooperation among BRICS countries. The convention brought together experts, scholars and industry leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and partnering countries to promote innovation, cooperation and sustainable development.? ??

The Congress was organized under the lead of Chinese Society of Engineers (CSE) and supported by Harbin Institute of Technology, Guangdong Association of Science and Technology and Heilongjiang Association of Science and Technology. The main goal of the Congress was to boost the launch of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of BRICS in order to foster engineering cooperation between BRICS nations.?

The core activity of the Congress was aimed at sharing best practices of engineering education and its capacity to match the current industry trends.

The key mission of the newly established FEIBRISC is to create a development strategy that accommodates the interests of all members and takes account of the maturity levels of various technology sectors in each member country.?

The Federation will also aim to develop a regulatory framework for international cooperation with a particular emphasis on intellectual property rights.?

By signing the Initiative, the FEIBRICS members agreed to work together to advance the innovative development of engineering education, to foster capacity building and lifelong professional development for engineers and to jointly shape the new era of engineering governance among BRICS nations.
