On November 25, 2024 a delegation of Zhejiang Shuren University head by President Li Lu visited BSTU. The delegation was received by Ihar Voitau, BSTU Rector, Andrey Hauryliuk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Olga Rogova, Head of International Relations Office and Elena Yanukovich, Head of Double-Degree Programs and International Students Office.

The meeting started with presentations of both universities, their educational and research activities. The parties exchanged their views on possible future cooperation, in particular, training of Master’s Degree and PhD students from China at BSTU. The Chinese party demonstrated their keen interest in such areas as landscape architecture, materials science, environmental engineering, biotechnology and artificial intelligence.

President Li Lu invited the BSTU representatives to make a return visit to Zhejiang Shuren University and suggested both universities should regularly exchange their best practices of teaching and research. The parties agreed to draft a Cooperation Roadmap for the upcoming 2 years.?

At the conclusion of the visit, Ihar Voitau and Li Lu signed a Memorandum of Understanding which outlines multiple forms of cooperation (academic mobility, joint research projects and many more).

The Chinese delegation also had a chance to visit the BSTU Xylotheque and see the unique collection of wood samples from all over the world.
