Belarusian-Chinese Integrated Programme in Software Engineering Launched in Guangzhou

Inauguration ceremony of Belarusian-Chinese Integrated Programme in Software Engineering was held in Guangzhou, China.

BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau attended the event dedicated to launching of the “3+1” double-degree programme.??

On November 7, 2025 the inauguration ceremony of 2025/2026 academic year took place for 47 first-year students of the educational programme jointly run by Belarusian State Technological University (BSTU) and Guangdong Vocational College of Communications.? ??

The milestone event marked a new era of international cooperation in education. The BSTU delegation was represented by Rector Ihar Voitau and Head of Double-Degree Programmes and International Students Office Elena Yanukovich.

47 Chinese students were enrolled in the “3+1” integrated programme in Software Engineering in September 2025. The first three years of training will be run in China. The curriculum was mutually agreed by the parties and includes courses from both educational institutions. Upon successful completion of the three-year programme the students will be awarded the Graduation Certification of Guangdong Vocational College of Communications.

The final year will be run by Belarusian State Technological University in Minsk. Successful graduates will be awarded Bachelor Degree and will enjoy the opportunity of undertaking further study in Master’s degree programmes of BSTU.? ?

In his welcoming speech BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau emphasized the strategic importance of the new educational project. “Launching of the joint programme is a major step towards internationalization of education and improved quality of training of highly-skilled IT professionals who will be competitive in both Belarusian and Chinese labour markets. We have consolidated strengths of our universities to equip students with up-to-date knowledge, international experience and outstanding career opportunities”.? ?
